Eunice Ingham's method of reflexology is well-known around the world. Find out why the International Institute of Reflexology is the school to learn this technique.

This week, I welcome my guest, Jennie Levick, National Director of the International Institute of Reflexology (UK) in Sheffield, England.

Why should prospective students of reflexology choose your school to train as a reflexologist?

It is based on Eunice Ingham’s (Mother of Modern Reflexology) 30 years of study and training and 30 further years of teaching her method under the auspices of President, Dwight C. Byers, her nephew.

What type of reflexology do you teach at your school, and can you give a brief definition and background on this particular type of reflexology technique?

We teach the Original Ingham Method® of Reflexology licensed by the IIR – as above.

What makes your reflexology school different than the rest?

The effective training that enables graduates to work professionally.

How long is your program and what kind of commitment is required?

Our course is over one year. Enthusiastic commitment is essential to survive this intensive course.

What educational prerequisite is required for admittance to your reflexology school?

Simply an enthusiasm and dedication to the well-being of others and themselves with a desire to achieve effectiveness.

Do students have a choice about the type of reflexology they wish to learn at your school, and do you also teach other holistic practices?

We ONLY teach the Original Ingham Method® of Reflexology on hands and feet, as the year is barely sufficient to cover all practicalities, but we do introduce members to what might interest them for post-graduate study which we will provide as requested.

And finally, in your opinion, what makes a good reflexologist?

Someone who cares for the well-being of others, who keeps their posture in good balance, their hands flexible, is always learning to improve their knowledge, skills and attitude for their clients, and enjoys life.

Thank you, Jennie.
