Techniques for Sexual Healing

Yoni (vaginal) massage is way to break down any sexual blocks and open the body to pleasure. How should it be done and where can you find a practitioner?

Yoni massage can help with physical and psychological conditions such as Vaginismus, where the vagina tenses up involuntarily making penetration painful and difficult. It is a healing form of bodywork that will build your sexual confidence and knowledge of how your body works. It’s a very intimate thing to do with a partner as the idea is to maintain eye contact and vocalise what you are feeling. The G-spot is a ridged, slightly bumpy area around 2” along the vaginal wall. Like the prostate, it’s where a woman stores any sexual tension or trauma. Massaging it can help you overcome any negative feelings and anxiety that you may be holding about sex.

How to Do It

Deborah Sundahl is an expert in G-spot massage and female ejaculation. She suggests the following technique for healing yoni massage: -

  • Receiver: The aim of the massage is exploration and healing rather than stimulation and orgasm. Keep an open mind and concentrate on your breathing to help circulate sexual energy in the body. Start with a relaxing bath and a full body massage to help you to relax. It’s a good idea to empty your bladder first as stimulating the G-spot can make you feel like you need to pee.
  • Try to maintain eye contact with your partner throughout the massage. The aim is to open yourself to receiving pleasure and to feedback to your partner what is happening for you.
  • Giver: When she’s sufficiently aroused from the external massage you can start the internal G-spot massage. Ask her to guide you and tell you what feels good.
  • Use your index finger to enter the vagina and crook it upwards so that the pad of your finger touches the vaginal wall. The G-spot is a ridged, bumpy area around 2” in, towards the cervix. The aim is to awaken the area by applying steady, consistent pressure. As the G-spot becomes aroused it will engorge with blood so it’s easier to locate if she’s already aroused. Circle it with your finger keeping an eye on your partner’s reaction. Does any particular area or stroke cause pain? Ask her to say out loud how it feels. Numb or painful areas are energy blocks that need to be removed and you can do this by applying steady pressure as she expresses her feelings. If a particular area feels hot it’s a sign that energy is moving to shift any blocks.
  • When you’re both ready end the massage by gently withdrawing your fingers and covering her pubis with your hand. The goal isn’t to orgasm but to experience intimate touch and explore what this brings up for you emotionally. Finish with plenty of cuddles.

How to Find a Sexual Healer

This type of massage is practised in Tantric therapy. If you want to find a professional bodyworker to perform yoni massage explore Tantric workshops in your area and ask the facilitators for recommendations. Joseph Kramer runs the New School of Erotic Touch, a sexual healing school which offers online classes.
