When I was younger, my introduction into bodywork was from a Certified Rolfer. This practitioner signed me up for 10 rolfing sessions to correct the pain and misalignments that I had been enduring. I went along with the program, but it was extremely uncomfortable. Had I done my research, I probably would have chosen a less intrusive form of treatment initially. I then tried Swedish massage after the Rolfing experience. Looking back, the Rolfing did help overall, but I really think that I would have benefited more from a relaxation or even therapeutic massage just to get used to the idea before enduring a more deep form of bodywork like Rolfing. Just food for thought ...
