Chronic pain is one of those conditions that you can’t physically see.

If you have ever been chronically ill or have developed a health condition that severely affected the way you lived your life, you most likely made a few attempts at finding some relief through the help of an alternative or holistic health practitioner. Living with any medical condition and the limitations it places on your life, can really affect your state of mind and sense of control over your life.

The reality is that when we are not well, we need other people to help us through. Chronic pain is one of those conditions that you can't physically see. Your family and friends have no external, visible sign to tell them you are in pain, except perhaps by the expressions on your face. It's terribly frustrating to have a condition that is really invisible. If you know of someone who is in pain, remember this. Let them know you care.

And while massage is not a panacea for all conditions, for some people it can really help to improve their quality of life.
