The Touch Research Institute has conducted over 100 clinical studies on the beneficial effects of massage therapy on a variety of conditions from arthritis to pre-menstrual symptoms.
Among some of the research findings: diminished pain, reduced levels of stress, decreased autoimmune problems, and enhanced immune function. What does this all mean?
In essence, what the research confirms is that our ancestors knew that when you rub a hurt, it feels better.
