Tension Headache Relief

Tension headaches are the most common form of headache. The exact cause of tension headaches isn't really known and there doesn't appear to be one single cause.

Headaches can be quite debilitating. I met some people in my practice who have had headaches for years with little or no relief until they tried foot reflexology or massage.

If muscle tension is a cause, how does reflexology or massage help? I believe that tension, just like relaxation, is cumulative. Often you have to work through layers of tension that has built up over the years due to the various stressors and life experiences you have endured. As you peel away some of those layers, you will most likely experience less headaches. This is why it's so important to incorporate relaxation into your lifestyle. The more you do to combat the daily stressors, the better you will feel.
