Thanks for sharing, Jen and thanks for linking to the aromatherapy massage article.

Like you said, day spas or even massage clinics are great places to experience the world of aromatherapy. However, there are so many ways you can use essential oils in the home as well. For the right essential oil, you are going to have to experiment with that yourself as scents are very personal. In the winter months, I used to use orange or bergamot by the radiator or heater vents because it left a cheery smell. Hope you try some of these:

1. a few drops of your favourite essential oil (maybe lavender, bergamot or grapefruit, orange or lemon) in a bowl of water or water in a spray bottle and mist the air
2. a few drops of lavender on cotton balls and place them in your drawers
3. a few drops in a diffuser can fill the whole room with a favourite scent
4. a few drops of lavender on a cotton ball and place inside your pillow case to help you sleep better

Remember, before you buy an essential oil, smell it first, and see if it agrees with you!
